The Things That Really Count

November 15th, 2012

I have lived long enough now to have a great rearward perspective.  What I see in my rear view mirror is most useful in helping me to gauge life’s road ahead.  At my age I’ve just about seen it all, felt it all, lived it all, experienced it all, suffered it all, and enjoyed it all.  I am now confident that I am able to judge life from the advantage of experience.  With experience comes a degree of wisdom, which comes in really handy in your daily walk.

R.I.P. America

January 12th, 2012

In recent years I have observed that the rate of decline of America is in direct proportion to the rate of decline in our acknowledgment and worship of Almighty God.  As a Baby Boomer, I believe I have lived in the most peaceful, bountiful, free, and exciting time of American history.   Freedom and prosperity just seemed natural and normal to a boy growing up in post-war America. Has Our Messiah Arrived?

February 12th, 2009

If you listen to all the hubbub in the news lately, you’d swear that our Great National Savior has finally arrived in the person of President Barrack Obama.  We are promised a better economy, universal healthcare, a sharing of the wealth, world peace, and in general, a happier world to live in.  So why don’t I feel the relief that I should feel when “The Great One” has finally taken his post and firmly has all matters in hand?
